This unit comes with a standard diameter pulley, making it perfect for high RPM and racing use. 2-Year Performance Guarantee. The Mechman two year warranty applies to Mechman Alternators sold ON or AFTER 07/13/2011. This limited two year warranty allows the customer to return his or her Mechman alternator for repair for a full two years after the alternator purchase date. This warranty does not cover other parts or equipment on the vehicle, and does not cover labor for removal or installation of the alternator. This warranty is VOID if the Mechman alternator is modified, physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the application for which it was designed. The Mechman two year warranty is non-transferrable. The customer must include a copy of the original invoice when sending in their alternator in order to receive warranty service. The customer is responsible for shipping the alternator to the Mechman facility for warranty service, Mechman will pay return shipping back to the customer for all alternators under warranty. As an added service, Mechman will also service any Mechman alternator of any age or condition for the cost of parts and return shipping. This 240 amp alternator for 1996-2004 GM trucks and SUV's cranks out tons of power at a great price. This unit features a solid copper positive rectifier plate, with (6) oversize 65 amp press fit diodes for great durability in daily driven applications. Oversize 8mm positive and ground studs make cabling upgrades a snap, while the included 1.75 inch diameter overdrive pulley ensures a solid 140+ amps at engine idle RPM! NOTE: This alternator will require a slightly shorter than stock length belt in most applications. Shorter belts can easily be purchased from your local autoparts store. This unit is not recommended for racing use above 5,500 engine RPM. A side output stud and seamless rear cover with a side output plug allow for better clearance from the back of the alternator to the front of the engine and a smooth appearance. A single wire on the provided pigtail gets connected to any ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with the ignition switch. Simply run a properly sized positive and ground cable from the alternator to the terminals of the battery and the alternator will work perfectly, regardless of what kind of wiring harness you have. Standard build time is 10-14 days.* The MechMan 6 phase 240 amp alternator for Toyota Supra 2JZ offers a solution to the inadequate alternator that comes from the factory on these vehicles. This unit features twin rectifiers with (12) massive press fit diodes, as compared to the small (8) diode rectifier in the stock alternator. Even mild performance builds will typically consume more amperage than what the stock Supra alternator can provide. Hairpin stator technology provides better high RPM durability, and better resistance to heat from the turbo manifold. This unit bolts directly in place of the OEM alternator. NOTE: A 2 gauge or larger positive and negative cable needs to be run between the alternator and the battery terminals for proper function. A larger race pulley can be special ordered for vehicles operating above 7,500 RPM engine speeds. Highly efficient, these units use less horsepower than conventional 3 phase alternators. 12 diodes, twin rectifier plates and outstanding airflow ensure long service life, even in severe conditions. These units are available for a broad range of domestic and import applications in 170, 240, or 320 amp configurations. The 240 amp model offers the best balance between peak output, and output at engine idle RPM. Installation Notes: This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diamter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension.
