Mechman Alternators Mechman P103 Harness Adapter For Use With Factory 05> GM Vehicles w/ Mechman Alternator
This module is for use on GM vehicles equipped with a 2 pin regulator and a RVC sensor (Regulated Voltage Control). Simply plug module into your vehicle's factory harness and tie out of the way. This will eliminate the check charging system code (battery light). MUST USE 4 PIN REGULATOR STYLE ALTERNATOR TO WORK. THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION FOR STOCK 2 PIN STYLE ALTERNATORS!!!! These are especially popular for the customer who wants to bypass the RVC system so that they can run a stand-alone alternator. The reason for this is that when run in the factory form on these model vehicles there will be fluctuating voltage and normally they will charge at a lower voltage. Although this is all normal since the PCM is controlling the voltage in order to acquire max fuel economy, some will opt to go with a stand-alone unit to acquire a higher and more stable voltage. Keep in mind this does not work with the factory alternator. You will need to purchase a special ordered unit that is built with single ignition switched turn on. Just order the alternator for your application as you normally would and specify in the notes that it needs to be single wire turn on. If you already have the correct alternator and just need the plug, you will need to purchase the P101 as well. See SKU# P101 for more details.

Standard build time is 10-14 days.* This unit comes equipped with a smaller 1.75 inch diameter alternator pulley, and will require a slightly shorter drive belt for proper belt tension. Not recommended for sustained use above 5,000 RPM engine speed. ((Check instructions section for finding belt sizes and wiring)). If you DO NOT use the correct shorter belt, this will result in very low to no output and create extra work load for the alternator. The Elite series offers the highest possible amperage and durability available in a large case alternator. 6 phase technology combined with massive twin rectifier assemblies and 12 diodes makes these alternators totally durable for daily use, while still maintaining 200+ amps at engine idle speeds. These alternators use the more robust 4 pin style regulator than the OE 2 pin ECU controlled alternator. Mechman Alternators Mechman P101-L +1v Voltage Boost Harness
Description This voltage boost harness fits alternators with a GM 4 pin plug and is similar to our "plug and play" H104-L harness. The P101-L is the simplified version of the H104-L which makes it great for secondary alternator setups for a cleaner look or engine swap applications. The yellow wire gets connected to an ignition switched 12V+ source to turn the alternator on and off with ignition and the blue wire with ring terminal gets connected to the alternators threaded output stud. This harness can be used with engine swap applications where the stock alternator harness is not available, and you just need a way to turn the alternator on and off through a 12v switched connection.This harness may also be used WITHOUT THE BLUE WIRE CONNECTED as previously stated if you are currently running a regular battery but plan to upgrade later to a Lithium battery later in your build.

Description This handy little adapter harness allows you to plug an oval 4 pin late model GM alternator in to a Rectangular CS130 or CS144 vehicle harness. This harness is required in order to install certain high output alternators on GM trucks that originally came with a CS130 or CS144 alternator with a rectangular plug from the factory. This is common on most 1988-1995 GM trucks, as well as some later models equipped with the heavy duty charging option. This is similar to our H101 harness used on 240 amp part numbers that do NOT require the 12v switched wire activation. All 250+ amp Denso style upgrades will REQUIRE the 12v switched lead to turn the alternator on and off.

This warranty is VOID if the Mechman alternator is modified, physically abused, misused, improperly installed, or is not used in the application for which it was designed. The Mechman two year warranty is non-transferrable. The customer must include a copy of the original invoice when sending in their alternator in order to receive warranty service. The customer is responsible for shipping the alternator to the Mechman facility for warranty service, Mechman will pay return shipping back to the customer for all alternators under warranty.
